Recoupling is a device added onto electronic devices aimed to slow down consumerism by creating a connection between the device and its user. Recoupling is made to create behavioral change when it comes to interacting with electronics. When a person buys a Recoupling they get a contract where they promise to take care of their product and dispose properly of it after it has served its purpose. The contract is similar to a birth certificate where the name of the device and other information is displayed to personify the device. After adding the Recoupling to your device it will take over the soundscape of the device and new sounds designed for that specific type of electronic whish will trigger happy hormones while being used. The Recoupling has a surface that is based on the materials and textures of sex toys since sex toys are made to be nice to the touch. By combining the elements of touch sounds and the experience of buying Recoupling a caring connection will be made between the user and the device, allowing the devise to be used with more respect and a guaranty of recycled.
